LOCATION OF CORFU VILLA MELITI
You can find VILLA MELITI at Kanouli beach, in the SW of Corfu island, Greece, in one of the blessed places on this earth, in a symbiosis point of nature, where the sea and the mountain embrace one another offering us a fairytale like background. For that reason, whatever you’re element is (water or earth, fire or air), your spirit will find true pleasure and relaxation... But, let us show you what this place is all about ....
First of all, as you may have realised, there is only a staircase which separates you from the beautiful sea of KANOULI. It’s a secluded sandy beach with crystal-almost tropic colour waters that, due to the difficult access from other way, will makes you feel like you’re on your own private beach. At the mountainside, above the beach, a lot of various plants are growing -reeds, crops and myrtles being the dominant ones-, offering a tropical feeling to the whole scenery.

Its pristine location would have tourists thinking of getting home loans for their dream house. The sea is very clean and shallow, allowing
to children to enjoy with safety their sea games. The clay mountain side which surrounds the beach will allow you, if you wish, to have some “mud baths” and enjoy the healthy results on your skin. Its a natural gift to you. You will feel like you are in your personal natural SPA. Every evening you will enjoy the magnificent colours Corfu in the sunset that can be seen from the beach, but also from villa Meliti. |

For nature lovers and mountain explorers there are many things to do. Apart from the long walks through the cedar forest of the Korission Lake, you can satisfy your sense of adventure by visiting the mountain of PANTOKRATORAS( 480m). From its highest point one can admire the wonderful view of the west coast of the island. On the top of the mountain there is the monastery of Pantokrator where every year on 6th of August, an all-night religious and traditional celebration is being held. The access is possible either by car or by foot(5 km from the villa to the mountain’s main road and 1,5 km ascension to the top).

You may also visit the beautiful olive grove where you can walk among the huge olive trees a lot of which are there since the Venetian administration(with Venetian financial support, the self growing cypresses - the traditional tree of the island - and the vineyards were replaced with olive trees, although there are still plenty of them).
In this area one can find one of the most important and quite well preserved monuments of the island which is the Castle of Gardiki, built in the 12th century by the Byzantines to stop the the pirates invasions which were very often at that time. Nowadays the castle hosts numerous festivals that are organised throughout the summer
